I firmly believe that one’s past experiences should not dictate their present or future. I enjoy helping clients explore their life experiences to unearth strengths, skills, and positive attributes that serve as catalysts for change. My aim is to empower you to embrace change and achieve a healthier and more fulfilling life.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Substance Abuse Counselor in Wisconsin. I find working with adolescents, adults and couples extremely rewarding as it allows me to offer support during pivotal life transitions and to positively influence their future. I have experience helping clients navigate various challenges related to substance use, depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, and dual diagnosis. With experience in psychotherapy, crisis intervention, and substance abuse counseling, I specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), while incorporating trauma-informed solution-focused techniques.
In my sessions, I focus on building a strong rapport with my clients where they can feel heard and understood exploring their thoughts and feelings. This allows for the development of new insights and sound treatment planning. When my clients feel empowered to face difficulties with greater confidence and clarity, we can utilize evidence-based techniques and practical applications to support long term well-being. I involve my clients in the continuous review of their progress, allowing them to see how their efforts in therapy are producing tangible results.
I strongly believe in the ability of individuals to overcome challenges and rewrite their stories. I have seen numerous clients transform from being seen as the least, lost, and last by society into success stories. I find it powerful to encourage and empower clients to pursue what they find meaningful in life, whether it’s improving relationships, starting a business, pursuing education, or having the courage to try something new. These transformations demonstrate that with the right support, interventions, and determination, individuals can overcome obstacles, unlock their potential, and create new, positive narratives for their lives.
