I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with years of experience working with children, adolescents, and their families. Through my professional experiences, I have found that I absolutely love working with teens! Many of my clients are facing stressors with school, relationships, low self-esteem and difficulties identifying and communicating how they feel. The teenage years can be significantly challenging to navigate (for both teens and parents) and part of my passion in working with this age group is to help with those challenges. My goal is to provide a safe, supportive environment where my client leaves a session feeling heard and understood. My work often centers around accepting what we cannot control and working on putting our energy into what we can. My approach is person-centered and I typically utilize CBT and DBT modalities.

As for myself, I love playing volleyball with my friends and have been doing so for 15-years. I love being outside and walking with my dog, Luna. If I am not hanging out with friends and family, I am most likely watching a comedy TV show or reading a book. I consider myself to be an easy-going and laid-back person. Originally from Wisconsin, I have also spent time in Minneapolis and lived there for four-years before returning to Milwaukee.

I hope that hearing a little bit more about me and my approach has helped put you at ease about starting this process. Therapy can be a big step and I absolutely believe that people are strong and resilient. Through this line of work, I have heard the many challenges and traumas that people have faced and were still able to continue on and thrive. I think that therapy is a great way to help people become more aware of their own resilience and it offers them a safe space to rewrite their stories. I want anyone reading this to know that they do not have to struggle alone and just because you are feeling this way now does not mean that you will forever. I would be honored to be a part of your therapeutic journey.
